Brian Satola

Assistant Director

Brian is responsible for managing the University Outreach Program, Awareness through Sport Initiatives. He also supports the Executive Director on Operations and strategic planning initiatives. Brian also is the acting Race Director for the UCF’s Half Full Triathlon Event. Brian has over 15 years of sales, consulting and operational management experience in the medical and technology industries. Brian was formerly the Vice President of Operations for Pinpoint IT Services. Brian is a 1991 graduate of the University of Virginia and currently lives in Clarksville, Maryland with his wife Liz and their daughters, Danielle 9 and Lauren 5.

1) How did you become involved with the UCF?

After my sister Holly's second cancer diagnosis and many years in corporate America, I made a decision to follow my passion for working and helping others and found the UCF after a lengthy search for the right fit. I am encouraged by the vision and ability for UCF to make a difference in the support of those affected by cancer. Having seen Holly's fight first hand, I know she could have benefited from the resources here at UCF. I can only hope that I can make a difference in a few lives of those who have been touched by cancer through our work here at UCF.

2) Outside of working at UCF, what’s your idle wish dream job?

Having been involved in many different jobs, I can truly say that I am happy with my choice to join the team here at UCF. A better way to answer this question is to state what is important to me, so I will list a few. Passion, Team Atmosphere, Commitment to do good, Honesty, Fun and a mission that is clear. "To support young adults and their families affected by cancer" as best we can!

3) What is your favorite moment working at the UCF?

I truly enjoyed the staff retreat as everyone verbalized what motivates them. Very emotional and inspirational. It is great to be in a place that you can share your emotions and passion with others who have very similar drivers.
